ABOUT PORTO & POSITION:

To support our intensive growth, the Group has decided to build a Service Center based in Porto, with a permanent specialized internal team to support the group European subsidiaries. We'll soon be up to 300 dedicated members within our multinational company.

In this context, we are seeking for a Java Technical Automatic QA Analyst, for a hybrid position in Porto. The QA analyst will ensure high-quality software delivery by planning and implementing automatic quality assurance testing. Responsibilities include setting automatic testing tools, writing test automation code, and reporting results. 

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

- Plan, create, execute, and automate test cases (functional tests, integration tests, API tests), working with business partners, developers, and other stakeholders. 
- Work closely with development teams. Train them to become autonomous in writing tests.
- Document and analyze test results, report KPI and - recommend corrective action. 
- Enhance and maintain the test automation framework.  
- Research, recommend, and implement new testing technologies and practices
- Define and champion quality and testing best practices among development teams.  
- Collaborate and share information with other members of the QA team
- Be available to run some manual tests when the manual testers are overwhelmed.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

- Software development experience. Proficiency in Java.
- Experience writing test automation scripts. 
- Experience with SQL.
- Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., junit, Mockito, Cucumber).
- Experience with application performance monitoring and observability tools. 
- Attention to detail and ability to identify, isolate and document defects.
- Some knowledge of agile practices and experience with agile planning tools.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaboration skills and ability to work on a team.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn.Master’s degree preferred
- 3 years of development experience with a strong focus on quality assurance.
