Matrix reporting to both the Chief AI Officer (CAIO), and the Regional Director for Asia.
Mission Statement:
The AI Global Asia Manager will act as the strategic and operational bridge between ALTEN’s central AI team and its Asian operations, ensuring scalable adoption, localization, and business impact of AI initiatives across India, Vietnam, Korea, Japan, and China. This role is critical to translating global AI strategies into tangible business outcomes, while overcoming regional challenges—such as language barriers, cultural nuances, time zones, and local regulations.
The manager will empower local AI Ambassadors, foster cross-regional collaboration, drive operational excellence in AI projects, and align AI solutions with client needs to maximize impact and innovation.
Responsibility:
Stakeholder Alignment
Serve as the primary liaison between the central AI team (France) and Asian Ambassadors, ensuring clear communication and alignment despite time zone differences.
Partner with sales and delivery teams to identify and prioritize high-value AI opportunities for clients.
Ambassador Support
Provide operational and strategic support to AI Ambassadors and help prioritize high-impact AI use cases.
Train and coach Ambassadors on AI-driven process optimization, data modeling, and client-facing use cases.
Feedback Loop
Gather insights from the region to inform central team priorities and decisions, ensuring global policies are practical and relevant for Asia.
Translate regional business needs into actionable AI roadmaps for ALTEN’s clients.
Pilot Programs
Lead pilot projects to test and refine AI deployment strategies, then scale successes across the region.
Focus on quick wins and ROI demonstration to accelerate client adoption.
Compliance
Work with legal and IT teams to ensure AI tools comply with local regulations (e.g., China’s Cybersecurity Law, Japan’s data privacy rules).
Performance Tracking
Monitor regional KPIs (e.g., tool adoption, training completion, business impact) and report progress to the central team.
Cultural Bridge
Facilitate cross-cultural understanding between the central team and Asian stakeholders.
Adapt AI solutions to local business practices and client expectations
Localization
Drive the adaptation of global AI policies, tools, and training materials to fit local languages, cultures, and regulatory environments (e.g., data residency in China, language support in Vietnam).
Business Development
Support delivery teams in integrating AI components into existing projects to improve cost, quality, and efficiency. Collaborate with pre-sales teams to co-design client proposals and demonstrate ALTEN’s AI capabilities
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Technical
Familiarity with AI tools and their enterprise applications. Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and data governance. Hands-on experience with process modeling, data analytics, or AI-enabled tools (e.g., RPA, low-code platforms, BI tools).
Project Management
Proven experience in coordinating cross-functional, international projects. Ability to manage timelines, resources, and stakeholders across time zones.
Cultural Fluency
Deep understanding of Asian business cultures (e.g., hierarchy in Korea, relationship-building in China, collaborative workstyles in India). Experience working in multicultural environments.
Communication
Excellent English proficiency; fluency in one or more Asian languages (e.g., Mandarin, Korean, Vietnamese, Japanese) is a strong plus. Ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
Ability to present AI solutions to executives and run client workshops.
Problem-Solving
Creative and adaptable, with a track record of overcoming operational or cultural barriers in global organizations.
Regulatory Awareness
Knowledge of data privacy and AI regulations in Asia (e.g., China’s PIPL, Japan’s APPI, India’s DPDP Act).
Business Acumen
Proven ability to link AI capabilities to client business outcomes. Experience in pre-sales, client engagement, or digital transformation is a plus.
Expected Seniority:
Senior Level: 7–12 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in a regional or global coordination role (e.g., program management, business transformation, IT consulting, or AI deployment).
Leadership: Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams, influence senior stakeholders, and drive strategic initiatives in complex environments.
Strategic Mindset: Capable of balancing operational execution with long-term planning, and translating global strategies into local action.
Education & Scholarly Background:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or AI/technology (e.g., Microsoft AI, AWS/Azure certifications) are a plus.
Preferred:
Master’s degree in Business, Technology Management, Data Science, or a related field.
Additional coursework or certifications in cross-cultural management, digital transformation, or AI ethics.
Travel Requirements:
Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time across Asia and occasionally to ALTEN’s HQ in France.
