ABOUT PORTO & POSITION
To support its continued European growth and strengthen its Front Office IT capabilities, ALTEN is reinforcing its Shared Services Center in Porto.
In this context, we are looking for a Solution Manager – Salesforce to join the Alten Service Center.
Based in Porto, this role plays a key strategic and operational position in overseeing ALTEN’s Salesforce ecosystem, ensuring platform performance, alignment with business needs, and continuous improvement in a multi-entity, international environment.
THE CHALLENGE WE HAVE FOR YOU
As Solution Manager – Salesforce, you will have end-to-end responsibility for ALTEN’s Salesforce platform, covering both RUN (operations) and BUILD (delivery and roadmap) activities.
You will lead a distributed Salesforce team, working closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and IT teams to ensure operational excellence, structured delivery, and sustainable platform governance.
This role requires strong leadership, autonomy, and mastery of Agile methodologies, acting as the main Salesforce reference across the Group.
YOUR MISSIONS
RUN Phase – Operational Excellence
Ensure high-quality management of incidents and service requests, with clear differentiation and strict SLA compliance.
Monitor platform stability, performance, user adoption, and data accuracy, defining corrective actions when required.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track usage, incidents, backlog, and team performance.
BUILD Phase – Delivery & Roadmap
Drive and maintain the Salesforce roadmap in collaboration with Product Owners and business stakeholders.
Ensure structured and timely delivery of sprints, releases, and projects using Agile methodologies (Scrum / Kanban).
Validate technical solutions, architecture choices, and cost estimations with development teams.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Governance
Act as the primary liaison between business, Product Owners, and IT teams.
Proactively identify risks, escalate issues, and propose mitigation strategies.
Promote best practices in Agile delivery, platform governance, and continuous improvement.
Team Leadership
Lead and motivate the Salesforce team, fostering autonomy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Conduct regular 1:1s and team syncs to align priorities and address challenges.
Report team activities and progress to the Business Solutions Manager.
IN YOUR FIRST YEAR, YOU WILL
Secure operational excellence of the Salesforce platform across RUN and BUILD activities.
Define and deliver a clear Salesforce roadmap aligned with business priorities.
Strengthen Agile practices, delivery tracking, and reporting.
Establish solid governance standards for data quality, usage, and platform evolution.
Act as the Salesforce reference within ALTEN, laying the foundation for future growth and transformation initiatives.
MINIMUM / ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Profile & Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in Salesforce-related roles, including team leadership.
Proven experience managing Salesforce ecosystems (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Analytics, Data Management).
Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields.
Technical & Methodological Skills
Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
Experience managing RUN vs. BUILD activities with SLA ownership.
Good understanding of data governance, platform optimization, and license management.
Salesforce certifications are a plus.
Soft Skills
Strong leadership, autonomy, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication with technical and business stakeholders.
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
Ability to align and drive teams in complex environments.
Languages
Fluent English (C1) – mandatory.
French – highly appreciated, especially for collaboration with Paris-based teams.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Location: Porto, with regular interaction with international teams (notably Paris).
Contract: Permanent, Full-time.
