ABOUT PORTO & POSITION:


To support our European intensive growth, the Group has decided to build a large Shared Services Center based in Porto. In this context, we are seeking a Cloud Data Engineer to join our Shared Services Centre and support the overall ongoing Transformation Program.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Data & Analytics team. As a Lead Data Engineer, you will design and implement the Modern Data Platform on Microsoft Fabric, build scalable data pipelines, and lead the migration of legacy BI to Azure.


Keys Responsabilities:

Design and implement the Modern Data Platform on Microsoft Fabric.

Develop scalable Lakehouse architectures and ETL/ELT pipelines.

Lead the migration of legacy BI solutions to Azure.

Define and enforce data governance, security, quality, and MDM standards.

Collaborate with international business and IT teams to deliver reliable data solutions.

Implement CI/CD and DevOps best practices for data workflows.

Act as the technical reference for data engineering initiatives across the Group.

PROFILE:

• Experience: 6+ years in Data Engineering, with solid experience on cloud-based platforms (Ideally Azure),
• Fluent in English (mandatory) and French is a plus,
  
• Cloud & Data Platform: Azure Data Services <ideally> (Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory),
  
• Fabric,
  
• BI & Visualization: Power BI (expert level),
  
• Data Architecture: Lakehouse concepts, BI modeling, MDM,
  
• Programming Languages: Python (mandatory), SQL (advanced), and one data engineering language (e.g., PySpark, Scala, or .NET for Fabric),
  
• CI/CD & DevOps: Best practices for pipeline industrialization,
  
• Data Governance: Security, quality, cataloging,
  
  Bonus: Experience with Fabric, BI transformation projects, DevOps culture.
